Visiting the website
Technically necessary processing. When you request a page, our web server processes your IP address in order to deliver the response (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR — legitimate interest in operating and securing the website). The site is served from our own infrastructure in the European Union.
No access logs. We keep no access logs for this website; your IP address is processed only transiently to deliver the response and is not stored. The web server's technical error logs may contain individual IP addresses in the event of a fault; they are used solely for troubleshooting and are deleted on rotation.
No cookies, no tracking. This website sets no cookies, uses no analytics or tracking services, and embeds no third-party content — even the fonts are served from our own server. Visiting it opens no connection to any third party. That is also why there is no cookie banner.
Contacting us by e-mail or phone
If you write or call us, we process the details you provide (such as your name, e-mail address, and the content of your message) to handle the enquiry — on the basis of Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR where it concerns entering into a contract, and otherwise on the basis of our legitimate interest in answering you (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). We keep the correspondence for as long as needed to handle the matter and any follow-ups; statutory retention obligations remain unaffected.
Our outbound e-mail is delivered via MailChannels (Vancouver, Canada); the usual e-mail data (addresses, subject, content) is transmitted in the process. Canada is covered by an EU Commission adequacy decision (Art. 45 GDPR).
Your rights
Under the GDPR you have the right of access (Art. 15), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction (Art. 18), data portability (Art. 20) and objection (Art. 21), and the right to withdraw consent at any time. Just write to the e-mail address above.
You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority — for us that is the Hessischer Beauftragter für Datenschutz und Informationsfreiheit, Postfach 3163, 65021 Wiesbaden, Germany.
No automated decision-making
No automated decision-making, including profiling, takes place.
Changes
We will update this policy if the website changes; the version published here is the one that applies.
